i heard a weird statement today at school....

... by this girl that always sits next to me
and likes to ramble on about bullshit.

she said:

"can you answer a question that has never
been answered before?"

this threw me for a loop... kinda like one
of those prophesized rips in the time-space
continuum.

while at the top of my head, this question
seems ridiculously silly.... as i feel it
is true that all questions have been answered
to some degree or another....

so i ask you...
can you answer a question that hasn't been
answered before?

That depends on how specific you would like to get.

The same Q would be, "Can you ask a question that has never been asked before?"

Which you can specifically, of course. I.E. - "Who has more hair in their ass, Wes or DJ?"

Has that specific question been asked/answered before? Probably not. Has the idea behind such a question come up before? At some point in history, I'm sure it has.

To answer the original question...yes and no.

It's kind of like that "Can God make something so heavy that even he cant lift it?" kinda question.....

you can easily ask a question that has never been asked.

it is based on perspective and the amount of
ALL POSSIBLES...

which is easier than having the opportunity
to answer a question that has not been answered.

a BETTER statement could have been said:

can you create a color that you cannot see?
